Located in our Center for Bread Flavour in Sankt-Vith, Belgium, the Sourdough Library gathers a unique collection of sourdoughs from all over the world, each with its own distinct charecteristics. The library is a non-profit-making initiative that offers people the chance to have their sourdoughs preserved and maintained.
As part of our dedication to preserving the heritage of cocoa and chocolate, Puratos purchased 140 hectares of cultivable land in Tikul, in the state of Yucatan, Mexico.
There a designated cocoa plantation has been established to safeguard cocoa diversity by growing Criollo trees, one of the oldest, rarest and finest cocoa varieties on the planet.
